Dr. Steve Harry
Dr. Steve Harry is a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced in the Fort Wayne area since 1986 and has been the owner of Dupont Veterinary Clinic since 1999. He resides south of Fort Wayne with his wife and four children. In addition to his family he enjoys raising cattle, gardening, time at the lake, and most outdoor activities. Dr. Harry has a cat and an English Setter named Paisley.
Dr. Harry’s special interests include orthopedics and surgery. “I enjoy working with my hands and the challenge of orthopedic surgery. I also enjoy trying to provide the best pet care and service to our clients that I can. Our clients often become friends and the relationships we build make veterinary practice very rewarding. It’s also exciting to be able to lead a team of hospital staff that loves people and their pets and have a passion to be the best we can be.”
Dr. Jill Rietdorf
Dr. Jill Rietdorf is a 2003 graduate of Purdue University Veterinary School of Medicine. She has practiced with Dupont Veterinary Clinic since her graduation in May of 2003. She resides on the north side of Fort Wayne with her husband Jeremy and their three sons, Aiden, Jonah and Graham, and three cats. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, boating, reading, and scrap-booking.
Dr. Rietdorf’s special interests include endocrinology, endoscopy, dermatology, and surgery. Dr. Rietdorf has recently completed a continuing education course and training in small animal gastrointestinal endoscopy taught by the veterinary specialist of gastroenterology and author of Small Animal Endoscopy, Dr. Todd Tams. “My favorite aspect of this profession is the ability to not only bond with the animals, but also with their families.”
Dr. Elizabeth Schaeffer
Dr. Elizabeth Schaeffer has a BS degree in animal sciences and a DVM degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Dupont Veterinary Clinic since 2005. Her special interests include internal medicine, surgery, behavior medicine, and oncology. In her spare time she enjoys all outdoor activities, hiking, barbecuing, flower gardening, and home remodeling projects. She also enjoys traveling and attending Komets games with her husband Ben. She and her husband have two young sons and a rescued Dachshund-Beagle mix named Tater.
Dr. Amy Boxberger
Dr. Amy Boxberger received her DVM degree in 2002 from Michigan State University following the completion of a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Boxberger joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2008 and comes with a wide experience and knowledge base. Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Boxberger understands and values the strength of the human-animal bond. She extends her compassionate care to all critters that creep, crawl, and fly in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Boxberger resides with her husband and two children.
Dr. Brennen Flory
Dr. Brennen Flory graduated from The Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He is originally from Ohio and received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Findlay. His special interests include surgery, orthopedics, and exotic pet medicine. He is also pursuing a certification in veterinary acupuncture. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, working out, various outdoor activities, and spending time with his girlfriend and their two pit bulls, Stella and Yogi. Dr. Flory has enjoyed the southern lifestyle, but is excited to be back in Indiana, closer to his friends and family. He enjoys working with a great team at Dupont Veterinary Clinic and appreciates building relationships with clients and their pets.
Dr. Valerie Tratnyek
Dr. Valerie Tratnyek is a Fort Wayne native who graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She returned to the area in 2000 and practiced on the southwest side of Fort Wayne until joining Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2014. Her special interests include surgery and dermatology. She appreciates the challenge of treating complicated cases involving the skin and ears.
Dr. Tratnyek resides on the north side of Fort Wayne with her husband Dennis and her two sons, Thomas and Eric. They all love playing with their boxer-mix Gwendolyn. In her free time Dr. Tratnyek enjoys reading, working in the yard, and attending her sons’ many sporting events.

We attempt to keep our veterinary technicians and assistants working beside the same veterinarian whenever possible, so that you get to know and work with the same team of people.
Emily joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2007 as a Veterinary Assistant after graduating from the Veterinary Technician Program at International Business College. Emily is currently a staff trainer and a member of our management team. In addition to spending time with her fur babies: Buddy a nine-year old Puggle and Sam an eight-year old cat, she enjoys cooking, baking, watching sports, and anything outdoors that involves friends and family. Emily is very passionate about her job and has a great love for all animals. “The people here have become my family away from home”.
Dani joined the Dupont Veterinary Team in 2002. She has loved animals of all kinds since she was a little girl and currently has a Bulldog named Gertie and a Manx cat named Daisy. Dani is the Surgery Manager and cares for all of the surgical and hospitalized pets. Dani lives in Fort Wayne with her husband and three children. Dani enjoys making cakes, gardening, and spending time with her family. Dani is proud to be part of the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team and loves taking care of the pets as well as getting to know their owners.
Sara joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in 2007 as a Client Relations Specialist. Sara’s strong work ethic and dedication has earned her a spot on our management team as our Client Relations Specialist Manager and Inventory Manager. Sara loves the boxer breed and has three of her own: Marley, Laela, and Peyton. In her spare time Sara loves outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family. Sara and husband Taylor recently welcomed their first child and are excited for this new chapter in their lives.
Vicki came to work at Dupont Veterinary Clinic in April 2007 as a Client Relations Specialist and then began work as a Veterinary Assistant in 2008. In 2014 Vicki became our Technician and Scheduling Manager and in 2015 she was promoted to Office Manager. Vicki’s passion for animals not only shines through in her job, but also at home. Vicki has a beloved mutt named Duke and two frisky felines, Ryder and Elsa. Vicki and husband Scott have been blessed with two beautiful little girls, Addison and MacKenzie. The entire family loves spending time at the zoo or anything that allows them to get outdoors. Vicki is working towards completing her BA degree in business management during her limited spare time.
Client Care Specialists
Darlena joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in 2007 as a Client Relations Specialist. Darlena moved to our area from Charlotte, North Carolina and resides with her husband Chris, five Chihuahuas, and a Quaker parrot. Darlena has a Certification in Customer Service and over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. Darlena oversees our accounts receivables and collections. In her spare time Darlena enjoys sewing, embroidering, crafts, and spending time outdoors. Darlena excels in providing exceptional customer service and loves meeting new clients and their beloved pets.
Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
Sarah joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in November 2009 after completing her externship. Sarah is a 2009 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In 2010, she passed her national board examination to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Sarah has three pets at home: Cletus a one-year old black Lab and two Dutch rabbits. Sarah cares for all species of pets, but especially enjoys the challenge of exotic animal medicine.
Shelby began working for Dupont Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2014 as a Veterinary Assistant. Shelby graduated with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2014. Shelby has an English Bulldog named Wally and a guinea pig named Ziggy the Piggy. In her spare time she loves spending time with her boyfriend Anthony, family, and friends.
Stephanie joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in September of 2011 as a Veterinary Assistant. Stephanie is a 2009 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In addition, Stephanie completed an eight-week externship program at Aboite Animal Clinic and volunteered for several months at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary where she spent most of her time caring for the tigers and large cats. In 2011, she passed her national board examination.
Stephanie is originally from Fort Wayne, but spent several years living in Hawaii where she adopted both of her cats. Stephanie is married with one child and three pets: Mr. Miyagi a 12-year old bearded dragon, Layla a 10-year old domestic shorthair, and Spaz a 10-year old domestic shorthair who lives up to his name.
Stephanie loves all aspects of her job, but especially is interested in the challenge of exotic animal medicine and veterinary dentistry.
Cortney joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in April 2016 as a veterinary assistant. Cortney is a 2016 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Cortney enjoys singing, sports, and outdoor activities with her family and friends and fur baby, Tucker.
Sarah became a Dupont Veterinary Clinic team member in 2007 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Sarah graduated with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2007. Sarah assists with surgery and pet endoscopy procedures. Sarah has a gray kitty named Bella that she adopted as a stray kitten 7 years ago. Sarah loves traveling with her husband, being outside on warm sunny days, exercising, crafts, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Since 2013, Sarah and her husband have also been involved in a leadership and personal development business.
Jennifer is a 2006 Indiana University graduate and a 2011 graduate from the International Business College Veterinary Technology program. Jennifer joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in 2011 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jennifer has one dog named Elliott and three cats named Hoolie, Albert, and Toothless. In her spare time, Jennifer loves to read, watch movies and frequents Starbucks. One day she hopes to own pygmy goats.
Katlyn joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in 2015 as a Veterinary Assistant and Client Relations Specialist. Katlyn graduated with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2015. Katlyn has two pets, a pit bull mix named Oakley and a Siamese mix named Ghost. In her spare time Katlyn enjoys spending time scrapbooking and listening to music
