Dr. Steve Harry
Dr. Steve Harry is a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced in the Fort Wayne area since 1986 and has been the owner of Dupont Veterinary Clinic since 1999. He resides south of Fort Wayne with his wife and four children. In addition to his family he enjoys raising cattle, gardening, time at the lake, and most outdoor activities. Dr. Harry has a cat and an English Setter named Paisley.
Dr. Harry’s special interests include orthopedics and surgery. “I enjoy working with my hands and the challenge of orthopedic surgery. I also enjoy trying to provide the best pet care and service to our clients that I can. Our clients often become friends and the relationships we build make veterinary practice very rewarding. It’s also exciting to be able to lead a team of hospital staff that loves people and their pets and have a passion to be the best we can be.”
Dr. Jill Rietdorf
Dr. Jill Rietdorf is a 2003 graduate of Purdue University Veterinary School of Medicine. She has practiced with Dupont Veterinary Clinic since her graduation in May of 2003. She resides on the north side of Fort Wayne with her three sons, Aiden, Jonah and Graham, their Australian Shepher/Lab Keiko, and one cat Bashy. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, cheering for her kids at ball games and reading.
Dr. Rietdorf’s special interests include endocrinology, dermatology, endoscopy and surgery. Dr. Rietdorf particularly enjoys small animal gastrointestinal endoscopy and has developed proficient skills over recent years . “My favorite aspect of this profession is the ability to not only bond with the animals, but also with their families.”
Dr. Elizabeth Schaeffer
Dr. Elizabeth Schaeffer has a BS degree in animal sciences and a DVM degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Dupont Veterinary Clinic since 2005. Her special interests include internal medicine, surgery and oncology. In her spare time she enjoys all outdoor activities, hiking, barbecuing, flower gardening, and home remodeling projects. She also enjoys traveling, being outside in nature watching wildlife and learning how to cook. She and her husband have two young sons and a rescued Dachshund-Beagle mix named Tater.
Dr. Amy Boxberger
Dr. Amy Boxberger received her DVM degree in 2002 from Michigan State University following the completion of a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Boxberger joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2008 and comes with a wide experience and knowledge base. Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Boxberger understands and values the strength of the human-animal bond. She extends her compassionate care to all critters that creep, crawl, and fly in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Boxberger resides with her husband and two children.
Dr. Brennen Flory
Dr. Brennen Flory graduated from The Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He is originally from Ohio and received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Findlay. His special interests include surgery, orthopedics, and nutrition. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, working out, various outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife Jen and their two fur babies Stella and Maddux. Dr. Flory has enjoyed the southern lifestyle, but is excited to be back in Indiana, closer to his friends and family. He enjoys working with a great team at Dupont Veterinary Clinic and appreciates building relationships with clients and their pets.
Dr. Valerie Tratnyek
Dr. Valerie Tratnyek is a Fort Wayne native who graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She returned to the area in 2000 and practiced on the southwest side of Fort Wayne until joining Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2014. Her special interests include surgery and dermatology. She appreciates the challenge of treating complicated cases involving the skin and ears.
Dr. Tratnyek resides on the north side of Fort Wayne with her husband Dennis and her two sons, Thomas and Eric. They all love playing with their boxer-mix Gwendolyn and cocker spaniel Nessie. In her free time Dr. Tratnyek enjoys reading, working in the yard, and attending her sons’ many sporting events.
Dr. Gabby Pilla
Dr. Gabby Pilla graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She is originally from Pennsylvania where she received her bachelor's degree from York College. Her special interests include dermatology, internal medicine, nutrition and behavior medicine. She currently resides on the north side of Fort Wayne with her fiance Kyle. They have two dogs, a Pitbull named Bishop and a Dachshund/Beagle named Felix. During her free time Dr. Pilla enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking and attending sporting events. She is excited to now call Fort Wayne her home and loves the relationships she has built so far.

We attempt to keep our veterinary technicians and assistants working beside the same veterinarian whenever possible, so that you get to know and work with the same team of people.
General Office Manager
Carrie joined DVC in July of 2018 as our office manager. She has been in the Veterinary industry since 1990 and couldn't imagine doing anything else. She has worked in all aspects of veterinary medicine from small animal, mixed animal and an equine surgical referral hospital. Carrie is extremely passionate about her job and wants clients and their fur babies to have the best experience while here. Her and her husband, Dan have 2 daughters, Danielle and Taylor, along with 4 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat on their farm south of Ft. Wayne.
Emily joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in 2007 as a Veterinary Assistant after graduating from the Veterinary Technician Program at International Business College. Emily is currently a staff trainer and a member of our management team. In addition to spending time with her fur babies: Buddy a nine-year old Puggle and Sam an eight-year old cat, she enjoys cooking, baking, watching sports, and anything outdoors that involves friends and family. Emily is very passionate about her job and has a great love for all animals. “The people here have become my family away from home”.
Lauren joined our team at DVC in July of 2018. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry. She has been in the Veterinary field for over 11 years now. Her and her husband have a Bulldog named "Bre" and a new kitten named "Ivy". In their spare time they love being outdoors and traveling with their 2 young children.
Dani joined the Dupont Veterinary Team in 2002. She has loved animals of all kinds since she was a little girl and currently has a Manx cat named Daisy. Dani is the Surgery Manager and cares for all of the surgical and hospitalized pets. Dani lives in Fort Wayne with her husband and three children. Dani enjoys making cakes, gardening, and spending time with her family. Dani is proud to be part of the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team and loves taking care of the pets as well as getting to know their owners.
Haley joined the Dupont team in March 2017 as a client care specialist and now spends most of her time handling inventory management. Haley enjoys spending time with her fur babies - Paisley her fun loving boxer mix, and Max and Mya, her 2 friendly felines . She also enjoys her free time with her family and fiancé Ian. They like to try new restaurants and go shopping.
Client Care Specialists
Samantha joined our team at DVC in June of 2018 as a Client Care Specialist. She always wanted to work with animals growing up and she is very thankful she now has the chance at DVC. She grew up around all sorts of animals, dogs and horses are 2 of her favorites. She has 2 Bengal cats of her own and a Boston Terrier who is her baby. In her spare time she loves traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with family, friends and her boyfriend.
Katelynn joined DVC in August of 2018. She has past experience with customer service and loves working with people. Her favorite animals are otters and dolphins. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching movies, being crafty and spending time with her friends and family. Katelynn and her husband Paul have 2 cats, Sophie and Odin.
Mariah began working for DVC in August of 2018 as a Client Care Specialist. She graduated from Purdue Ft. Wayne in the spring of 2018 with a major in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. She loves being able to be a part of enhancing the human animal bond. Mariah has 2 cats at home that have absolutely stolen her heart, Nova and Mowgli. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, usually traveling or cooking together. "I am very happy to be a part of DVC as I continue to learn something new every day and strive to make a positive impact for our clients".
Katrina joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in February of 2019. Katrina was born and raised right here in Fort Wayne. She has been doing some traveling the past few years. It all began in North Pole, Alaska when she landed her first job in a Veterinary hospital. She started as a receptionist and worked her way up to being an assistant a couple days a week. She is so very passionate about everything this career has to offer, she not only loves taking care of the patients but also loves making sure their owners are taken care of as well.
Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
Sarah became a Dupont Veterinary Clinic team member in 2007 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Sarah graduated with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2007. Sarah assists with surgery and pet endoscopy procedures. Sarah has a gray kitty named Bella that she adopted as a stray kitten 7 years ago. Sarah loves traveling with her husband, being outside on warm sunny days, exercising, crafts, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Since 2013, Sarah and her husband have also been involved in a leadership and personal development business.
Sarah joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in November 2009 after completing her externship. Sarah is a 2009 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In 2010, she passed her national board examination to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Sarah has five pets at home: Cletus a 3-year old black Lab, Moose a 2-year old Great Dane and three Dutch rabbits. Sarah cares for all species of pets, but especially enjoys the challenge of exotic animal medicine.
Stephanie joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in September of 2011 as a Veterinary Assistant. Stephanie is a 2009 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. In addition, Stephanie completed an eight-week externship program at Aboite Animal Clinic and volunteered for several months at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary where she spent most of her time caring for the tigers and large cats. In 2011, she passed her national board examination.
Stephanie is originally from Fort Wayne, but spent several years living in Hawaii where she adopted both of her cats. Stephanie is married with one child and three pets: Mr. Miyagi a 12-year old bearded dragon, Layla a 10-year old domestic shorthair, and Spaz a 10-year old domestic shorthair who lives up to his name.
Stephanie loves all aspects of her job, but especially is interested in the challenge of exotic animal medicine and veterinary dentistry.
Jennifer is a 2006 Indiana University graduate and a 2011 graduate from the International Business College Veterinary Technology program. Jennifer joined the Dupont Veterinary Clinic team in 2011 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jennifer has one dog named Elliott and three cats named Hoolie, Albert, and Toothless. In her spare time, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, reading, watching movies and she frequently visits Starbucks more than most people.
Shelby began working for Dupont Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2014 as a Veterinary Assistant. Shelby graduated with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2014. Shelby lives in Ft. Wayne with her husband Anthony and they have an English Bulldog named Wally. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends. They enjoy golfing and vacationing to warm places.
Cortney joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in April 2016 as a veterinary assistant. Cortney is a 2016 graduate of International Business College Vet Tech Institute with an Associates degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Cortney enjoys singing, sports, and outdoor activities with her family and friends and fur baby, Tucker.
Crystal became a DVC team member in November, 2016 working as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Crystal graduated from the International Business College Veterinary Technician Institute in 2008. Crystal and her husband have a 7 year-old tabby named Dink, an 8 year-old Rottweiler named Ace and Riley, a 7 year-old Beagle mix. Crystal enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Samantha joined the DVC team in January, 2017 as a veterinary assistant and a client care specialist. Sam and her husband have two “fur children”, Apollo, a Cane Corso mix and Auggie, an Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. In her spare time she likes to be outside as much as possible, spend time with her little sister, and occasionally binge watch Netflix with her husband.
Lindsay joined the Dupont team in February 2017 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated with a degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2016. She has an adorable Shepherd mix named Sammy. In her free time she coaches softball. She loves watching all kinds of sports and spending time with family.
Heather Miller joined the Dupont team in September after doing her 3-month externship with us. She Graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associate of Applied Science degree. She will be joining us as a Veterinary Technician. Heather and her husband James have 3 kids (Aiden 11, Seanna 8 and Deklyn 2), 2 dogs (Duke and Zoe) and 2 cats (Trinity and Faith). She loves being outdoors with her family where they enjoy camping and kayaking.
Rachel joined the Dupont team in July 2017. She graduated from IPFW with a bachelors degree in hospitality and tourism management. Rachel loves to travel to new places and spending time with her family and friends. Most importantly she loves spending time with her fur babies Bella and Gidget, and her Husband Tyler! Rachel loves coming into work and helping to make a difference in our pets and clients lives.
Madison joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in December of 2017 after completing her externship. She graduated in 2016 from Ball State with a Bachelors in biology. She then went on to pursue her dream job and enrolled in the Vet tech program at IBC. She graduated in 2017 and shortly after passed her national exam to become a licensed technician. Madison has one fur-baby, a 7 year old Bichon named Olivia. Madison has always had a strong passion for animals and she is so happy she can come to work everyday doing what she loves.
Danielle joined Dupont Veterinary Clinic in January of 2019 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has been in the Veterinary industry since 2009 and graduated from Rockford Career College with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2018. She passed her National exam in 2018 to officially become and RVT. Danielle is originally from Wisconsin but also lived in Texas for 7 years before moving to Indiana in December of 2017. Along with her came her 2 horses Kowboy, an Arabian and Harry, a thoroughbred ex-race horse. She also brought her Corgi Britain and bob-tail cat Ben. She enjoys riding her horses, going for walks with her dog, watching Netflix and spending time with family. Most importantly she loves her work and loves getting to help animals and their families everyday.
